EVENT FORMAT
The teams will visit an industry/business organization/production unit/factory and prepare a 2-minute video clip based on their observations and the SWOT (Strengths Weakness Opportunities and Threats) analysis for the same.
a. The movie must be in mp4 format.
b. The SWOT analysis must be presented as a PowerPoint presentation.
c. The participants have to send their movie clip and presentation in CD
d. Movie extracts are NOT allowed.
e. Exceeding the time limit and/or the maximum number of slides will lead to negative marking.
The teams are required to observe the following:
• Nature of the business and determinants for location of the business unit.
• Different stages of the production process.
• Workers employed, method of wage payment, training programmes and facilities available.
• Social responsibilities towards various interest groups (workers, investors, society, environment, government etc…).
• Levels of management and safety measures adopted.
• Working conditions of the labour while considering the labour laws.
• Storage of raw materials and finished goods.
• Waste management.
